Cadenza Innovation, the award-winning provider of safe, low cost, high-performance lithium-ion-based (Li-ion) energy storage technology platforms for license to battery manufacturers, today announced that Founder and CEO Dr. Christina Lampe-Onnerud will keynote the Batteries Event 2018. Focusing on the industry’s most important technology and industry trends, the conference will take place October 2-5 in Nice Acropolis, France.
A must-attend gathering for the global battery industry, the event follows last month’s World Economic Forum’s “New Champions” Meeting in Tianjin, where Cadenza Innovation was honored as a 2018 Technology Pioneer.
The evolution of the portable electronics market, the rapid adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and the electrification of the power utility grid are strong forces driving the global commitment to energy storage and renewable energy. To help fuel advancements in products, policy and business models, the Batteries Event 2018 will bring together leading industry experts in battery technologies, applications, manufacturing and the extended value chain.
Delivering a keynote titled “The Role of Energy Storage in The New Energy Paradigm” on Wednesday, October 3, Dr. Lampe-Onnerud will discuss how the next 10 years are poised to transform the battery industry as well as existing applications and potential new markets alike. She will also examine how collaborative global policies and technological advancements – propelled by substantial growth rates – are prompting an unprecedented change in the global energy equation. Additionally, she will explore how markets are validating novel solutions by demonstrating the integration of new technologies and products within the existing energy infrastructure.
“I am thrilled once again to be included among the speakers at this conference,” said Dr. Lampe-Onnerud. “The last year has been an especially exciting one for energy storage and for Cadenza Innovation. I welcome the chance to share what we’ve learned and what we see ahead – and look forward to benefiting from the wisdom of our industry peers.”
In September, Cadenza Innovation and Shenzhen BAK Power Battery Co., Ltd. (BAK), announced that they will cooperate on the manufacture of Li-ion cells and modules based on Cadenza Innovation’s supercell architecture. Mass production will begin in 2019 and will initially target the electric vehicle market.
