electroVolt, a developer of application-specific lithium-ion batteries and modules, announces it will showcase its state-of-the-art Lithium-Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) PRISLogic series of modules and LiONCore™ series of batteries during The Battery Show in booth #1531, September 14-16 in Novi, Mich. As North America's largest and most comprehensive advanced battery manufacturing trade show, The Battery Show is a forum for advanced battery technology for electric and hybrid vehicles, utility and renewable energy support, portable electronics, medical technology, military, and telecommunications.

During the three-day conference, electroVolt executives will discuss how its PRISLogic battery modules are a game-changer in the energy storage industry. Featuring proprietary Thermal Shield technology, a comprehensive and configurable battery management system (BMS) and modular architecture, PRISLogic is a trusted energy building block for applications that require unique configurations and control parameters. Ideal for demanding telecommunications, data center backup, material handling, emergency services, robotics, and other uses, PRISLogic modules are engineered to augment the applications’ performance, reduce integration complexity and provide a high level of safety.

LiFePO₄ cells are well known for their safety and reliability as they are less prone to experience thermal runaway issues associated with overcharge and lithium plating. electroVolt went a step further and developed Thermal Shield technology that improves thermal management, provides optimum distributed pressure on the electrode surface and reduces cell-to-cell heat propagation in the unlikely case of a thermal issue inside the module.

The PRISLogic design allows tailoring of the control parameters and communications for the application without the need for additional application-specific hardware or software, lowering the development cost and time to market of energy storage projects. The extensive capability for customization and safety gives users the flexibility to quickly integrate PRISLogic energy storage products into their applications without developing the usual ancillary control systems to assure adherence with various compliance requirements.

Housed in a rugged enclosure, PRISLogic modules offer high energy density and integrated application-specific solutions that are scalable in voltage and energy capacity – offering overall low cost of ownership in many applications currently served by legacy lead-acid solutions.

Also on display at the show will be electroVolt's popular LiONCore series that includes robust deep-cycle lithium-ion batteries – ideal for numerous light commercial and consumer applications, including standby power, traffic calming, micro solar and recreational vehicles. LiONCore batteries are available off-the-shelf in the most popular sizes and capacities (7Ah to 200Ah) and feature an integrated BMS and LiFePo₄ chemistry as a better alternative to traditional SLA or AGM batteries.
