Florham Park, N.J., September 3, 2019 — ASCO Power Technologies, the world’s leading provider of critical power solutions, has expanded the capabilities of its ASCO 5160 SERIES PowerQuest Connectivity Units (PCS). The ASCO PowerQuest Critical Power Management System (CPMS) has always provided class-leading communications for critical equipment monitoring networks. ASCO’s newest Connectivity Units ease deployment of redundant communication pathways and increase flexibility for network designers.
At the heart of every ASCO CPMS is a network that transmits data using Ethernet. ASCO Connectivity Units convert data from power devices to Ethernet and connect power devices to the CPMS platform. Using ASCO 5160 SERIES Connectivity Units, it is easy to create a state-of-the-art power management network that maximizes the value of the ASCO CPMS. ASCO Connectivity Units simplify CPMS implementation by:
- Converting serial data and discreet inputs to ModBus TCP/IP
- Communicating with power devices from major manufacturers without complex system integration
- Sending power equipment information to the CPMS platform over fiber or copper
“Our expanded lineup of Connectivity Units enables customers to connect just about any critical power equipment to our industry-leading CPMS, or to third-party power or building monitoring systems,” said Kenia Choquette, Manager Solutions Engineering. “The new models with managed switches make it easier than ever to build redundant communications for critical backup power systems.”
ASCO products are backed by technology, support, and service that are unmatched in the industry. For more information about the ASCO 5160 SERIES Connectivity Units, download the brochure or view the product video. For more information about the ASCO CPMS, view the overview brochure here.
