C&D Technologies, Inc., a producer and marketer of standby power batteries, has released its Pure-Lead Plus Battery Technology for the Data Center market. The properties of this battery allow for extended life in elevated temperature environments.
“Electric power consumption is a key driver of data center operating costs. Pure Lead Plus batteries can perform in higher temperature environments, which means less air conditioning and significant savings for our data center customers” said Ron Wood, VP of Product Management and Marketing for C&D Technologies.
“Not only can this new technology allow for reduced operating expenses, but the extended service life of the Pure-Lead Plus battery can also extend the battery system replacement cycle, dramatically lowering the total capital cost over the lifetime of the Data Center” said Mike Nispel, director of Product Management, UPS.
