Jolt Energy Hires Sharmila Samaroo as Lab Director and Researcher for Organic, Grid-Scale Battery Technology

Jolt Energy Storage Technologies, an all-organic energy storage solution company, has hired Sharmila Samaroo as Lab Director and Researcher.
Samaroo earned her Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Michigan State University and holds a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan. She brings a wealth of knowledge from her previous work experiences, which include process engineering with an oil and gas refinery and R&D projects exploring energy storage technologies.
Samaroo is enthusiastic about pursuing the work of flow cell development and scaling, a project she began during her time as a former research and development intern at Jolt. Samaroo’s research contributes to Jolt’s commercialization strategy for grid-scale organic energy storage.
“The science is becoming tangible,” said Samaroo. “I’m excited to support the scalability of flow cell technology and Jolt’s progress toward sustainable, grid-scale storage solutions.”
