Press Release: May 2023
ASI, Division of Thermal Technologies, Inc., supplies a single-zone drying system to an energy storage start-up and producer that has developed a commercially viable non-lithium energy storage technology. The single-zone roll-support drying system incorporates both convection and infrared (IR) heating. Both heat sources are electrically powered. Variable frequency drives on the supply and exhaust fans, in conjunction with PLC-based heat and air velocity control loops, allow for precise air temperature and air flow control. An automated external retraction system permits easy web up, cleaning, and access to the dryer’s interior. A LFL (lower flammability limit) analyzer continuously monitors LFL levels and ensures that the solvent levels remain at safe operating levels.
