Sunlight Group joins the United Nations Global Compact initiative

Sunlight Group Energy Storage Systems a global technology company specializing in integrated and innovative off-road mobility batteries for intralogistics and Energy Storage Systems, is honored and proud to announce that it has joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative — a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices. Sunlight Group's mission is to pursue knowledge through data and insights and turn this knowledge into innovation, which serves customers and makes life better for everyone. To do so, Sunlight has established operations across 12 countries on three continents. These global operations comprise an integrated network of innovation, manufacturing, assembly, and service hubs that develop next-generation energy storage solutions, accelerating transition to a greener future. In addition to positioning Sunlight as a partner of choice for meeting sustainability, clean energy, and decarbonization goals, the company also continuously invests in new talent and advanced, environment-friendly infrastructure around the globe, supporting the growth of the communities in which it operates.
Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with over 15,000 companies and 3,800 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries and more than 69 Local Networks. UNGC is a community that prioritizes and advances societal goals worldwide. And thus, Sunlight Group is proud to join thousands of other leading companies globally committed to taking responsible business action to create the world we all want. The UN Global Compact is a call to companies to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted human rights, labor, environment protection, and anti-corruption principles and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). And Sunlight Group has been a long-time supporter and advocate of these Goals, applying a holistic approach to sustainability, developing a relevant ESG strategy, and undertaking subsequent commitments.
Commenting on the partnership, Sunlight Group’s CEO, Lampros Bisalas, noted: “We, as Sunlight Group, are very excited to be joining UNGC.
