Aggreko Energy Transition Solutions Completes the Acquisition of Nine Community Solar Projects Across New York State
Aggreko, the global leader in energy solutions, today announced that the company's Energy Transition Solutions ("Aggreko ETS") division acquired a portfolio of nine community solar projects in the state of New York. The ground-mounted installations will total approximately 59 MW of generating capacity when construction of the projects is complete. Along with closing on the acquisition, on November 29 Aggreko ETS successfully connected the first of the nine projects to the grid, a 5.9 MWdc project in the town of Vernon, 40 miles east of Syracuse.

InnoEnergy Skills Institute reaches milestone of 50,000 upskilled learners to support a growing battery industry
InnoEnergy Skills Institute, one of Europe's leading training skills providers for the sustainable energy workforce, has hit a milestone since its launch in February 2022. Led by EIT InnoEnergy, 50,000 learners have now undertaken training courses to gain skills necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving value chain. Trainings built in collaboration with the European Battery Alliance ranged from battery fundamentals to technical courses for knowledge in battery management systems, battery testing, safety and security.

Worley partners with Sila to build a next-generation battery materials plant
Worley, a global project delivery and asset services provider, has partnered with Sila, a next-generation battery materials company, to provide engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) services for the development of Sila's silicon anode materials plant located in Moses Lake, Washington. Sila Plant Moses Lake will utilize clean energy with hydro-powered material production and is expected to ramp battery material capacity up to 150 GWh annually by 2028; powering one million electric vehicles over the next five years.

Spanish Startup Floatech to Construct Pilot Plan to Produce Next-Generation Silicon Anodes for LIBs
Floatech, the Spanish startup and spin-off of IMDEA Materials Institute in Madrid, has secured investor backing to establish a pilot plant for the production of 100% silicon anodes intended for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). The funding will enable Floatech to construct an advanced pilot plant in the Community of Madrid and integrate its' high silicon content anodes (Si:coil™), into the European battery production chain.
